(93 Points) The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint-Jean 1er Cru is more reticent on the nose at the moment, giving little away compared with the preceding Champ Gain. Walnut and praline eventually peek from behind the curtains. The palate is very well-balanced with a fine thread of acidity, lightly spiced and slightly chalky in texture, kicking on nicely towards its lemongrass-tinged finish. Recommended.
