(96 points)  Beginning with a dusty rigidity on the nose, the 2017 Syrah The Hidden Northridge Vineyard has a firm core of black fruits, blackberry, dark plum and dark cherry skin with hints of black pepper and dried purple flowers. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is still firm with grippy tannins that will loosen with age, and it ends with a tannic grip and elements of worn leather and bitter black tea. Stellar!
