Pale ruby-purple, the 2019 Pinot Noir West Block is incredibly layered on the nose, with blackberry and raspberry jam, tobacco leaves, blood orange and tar. Medium-bodied, the palate is grainy, fresh, intense and layered, with a long, spicy finish. It could use another couple of years in bottle and should be long-lived in the cellar. (EB) 96+
