Weingut Robert Weil

Founded in 1875, Weingut Robert Weil is one of the finest producers in the Rheingau region. Wilhelm Weil, the great-grandson of the estate’s founder, carries on the uncompromising, quality-oriented vineyard and cellar practices that have been the hallmark of this elite estate for four generations.

The Rheingau Region

The Rheingau is part of the Rhine valley, near the city of Mainz. Notable for steep, south-facing slopes in a protected valley along a climate-moderating river, this area has the ideal conditions for growing ripe, full-bodied Riesling.

Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Trocken

Kiedrich Turmberg (“Tower Hill”) vineyard is rated as VDP.Erste Lage (“premier cru”). Because of its thinner topsoil and slate subsoil, it produces very fine, elegant wines that are less massive than their counterparts from the neighboring Gräfenberg site. The Turmberg vineyard is wholly owned by Weingut Robert Weil.

(93 Points)  “Very pure and refined on the nose where stony/dusty mineral flavors dominate rather bright and precise fruit aromas. Very firm, straight and piquant on the palate, this is a rather lean more than rich style. Though it is still a persistent and lovely piquant Riesling showing impressive precision in its white peach flavors."  The Wine Advocate
