This is a grower chardonnay and used to be blended into the estate and in 2006 they separated it from the estate as it was too unique to blend so now it is all single vineyard. Fresh zesty lemon drop citrus fruit with green apple fruit and flinty mineral stone fruit yellow flesh peach going into apricot, 25% new oak and a bit more heavily toasted, vanilla creme notes to the fruit, a warmer site and this wine shows it in the amount of fruit present. Quite a bit richer on the palate with a texture of whole milk, a nice bit of toasty oak spice and a long layered finish. finish 45+ Most Excellent
