2014 Palazzo Cuvee Blanc Napa White
This vineyard is 70+ years old, some of the oldest Semillon in the valley less than 3% is planted to this varietal it used to be 30%, there is also Sauvignon Blanc in the blend and this wine has a very Bordeaux like quality to bouquet ripe melon and fig fruit with a nice amount of minerality here very intense aged in 2 year old barrels on the lees for 2 months very complex bouquet. A rich and multi layered wine with a rich and opulent texture a bit oily and thick with tongue tingly minerality with a long rich finish with only a touch of SB 99.99 one barrell thief.
