(92 points) Made with Sangiovese, the 2020 Perlato del Bosco shows ripe flavors of cherry and baked plum. Stefano Frascolla tells me that this grape is especially vulnerable in hot vintages but 2020 actually wasn't too bad in the end. He shows me a picture taken on September 6th of healthy, vigorous green vines. The bigger problems in 2020 were the COVID-19 lockdowns and social distancing protocols.
