2019 Peter Michael 'Le Moulin' Rouge Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands

Peter Michael has been sourcing Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands since the late 1990s, before they planted their own vineyards on the Sonoma Coast. The 2019 Pinot Noir Le Moulin Rouge (from the Pisoni Vineyard) boasts complex herbal and floral elements, like beets and roses, black tea and orris root, plus wonderfully ripe cherries. Full-bodied, round and ripe, with layers of silky tannins and a lingering finish, it's the whole package. (JC)
