2021 Louis Jadot Pouilly Fuisse 1ER Cru

Aromas of candied lemon and acacia flowers lead to a palate sensation of brioche and wet stones. The texture is broad and expansive while supported by bright and ripe acidity. This white wine has a finish which is quite long and complex that contributes to its amazing elegance. The 2021 vintage was memorable for the extreme challenges it posed to growers. The defining event was a hard freeze in April which lasted several days, and the subsequent dramatic reduction in harvest volumes. Added to this were cool and wet summer conditions which required constant vigilance. The delayed harvest eventually yielded tiny volumes of pristine grapes which express a vibrant and energetic purity.
