2012 Palari Faro Sicily DOC

Up in the northeast in Macina region, high elevation, volcanic soils. The same blend Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappucio aged for 2 years in new French oak these wines are released when Donattola Natti from Monfortino.  A very unique bouquet with dried herbs and flowers red plum and sundried cherry fruit smoky meaty notes and a distinct earthy quality.  A bit dry on the finish with a sundried character to the fruit and that distinct earthy dried meat character through the finish.  Finish 45+ Excellent
