(92 points) "This has a well defined bouquet, fresher than other bottles of this wine that I have encountered although not as ambitious as Ducru-Beaucaillou or Gruaud-Larose. Dark berries, a touch of soy, mint and cranberry leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, taut tannins; very strict and linear, a slight tinny edge towards the finish but well defined. This is probably the best bottle of ’61 that I have met." Wine Advocate
